Experience the stunning scenery of Abel Tasman on a 3 hour guided kayak tour followed by a self-guided nature walk.
Heading off from Marahau on a guided kayak tour we make our way up to Observation Beach taking in the beautiful sights of the Abel Tasman coastline.
Your scenic paddle will take you past dozens of golden sandy beaches, sea caves, reefs and two islands which make for fantastic photo opportunities.
Then back onto dry land where you will enjoy an easy self-guided walk back to Marahau along the headlands and through native fern gullies.

Great guide (Jasper I think??) who was clearly very passionate about his job and our enjoyment. Saw lots of seals around the island including pups playing in waves etc. Tea/coffee was a treat too. Once you get to the beach it’s a self guided walk back (which is 8-10km) - flat path, beautiful views, but no way to come off earlier if needed
Great guide, very relaxed journey. The kayak was enjoyable, got to see lots of seal pups around Adele Island and the walk back wasn't too challenging. Great scenery throughout, recommend.
Fantastic day in Abel Tasman National Park. The moment we arrived at Kahu Kayak HQ, we knew we had picked the right tour. Fabulous 3 hour Kayak with Squid (Sydney) as our guide. I was worried that I wouldn't be up for the challenge, but once we were on our way, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Fantastic morning kayaking, swim and a bite to eat on the beach, then headed out for the walk back to HQ. Breathtaking scenery and very easy trail after the first 500m (very steep). The walk took just over 2.5 hours. I would highly recommend this tour.

Such a fun experience!
It was a really nice experience with Kahu Kayaks. The staff was very lovely and helpful. The only thing I would have liked is more information during the kayak tour. We didn't get much info on any history or anything of interest which we would have appreciated. This is a great tour if you're wanting a more casual guide, rather than lots of stops to chat about facts/history.
